Longtime San Luis Obispo resident Friedl Semans Bell signs copies of her best-selling book She Cried for Mother Russia at the 2009 Central Coast Book and Author Festival. Now living in Oregon, Bell will again be participating in the 2011 Festival, and will be making a public presentation on her book. Her book, now in its second printing has receied worldwide acclaim. ART OF THE BOOK Julie Frankel’s Book Bouquet is one of many book arts items that will be on display at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art during the Central Coast Book and Author Festival. Book artists, illustrators, and photographers exhibit their works in the public libraries during August and September, and then the collection will be brought to the museum on the day of the Festival. ART OF THE BOOK Marylu Weaver Meagher’s wonderful book, Counting Crows, is on display as part of The Art of the Book, which is hosted by the 12th annual Central Coast Book and Author Festival. The book is on display in one of the San Luis Obispo County public libraries during the months of August and September, and will be moved to the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art on the weekend of the Festival.
