Welcome to the inaugural episode of We LOVE the Library, a podcast brought to you by the San Luis Obispo County Library Foundation.

• Meet the Library Director of the SLO County library system Chris Barnickel, who explains how his job is very much like that of a conductor of an orchestra.
• Learn about how to assemble an ofrenda from María Belén Luzuriaga Abad for Dia de Los Muertos. María Belén is an artist and educator who has given presentations in the SLO Library system about how to use art, intention, and memory to engage with grieving in a thoughtful process.

Juliane explains how donations and bequests from the pro-library public are wisely invested so the Library Foundation can enhance the ability of the SLO County public library system to best serve library patrons.
